Vines made of pure gold wrapped around each column, the leaves reaching for the balcony as though it was sunlight. At intervals around the room, giant, gilded mirrors three times the height of a man were fixed into the walls, making the room look and feel as though it was full of thousands rather than hundreds as the mirrors reflected both the dancers and themselves in endless tunnels. Between the mirrors, broadswords, bows, and maces hung on the wall, fixed into wooden coats of arms of all the noble human families.
