That day you sat us all down in a room close to the entrance door

You told us how you felt that you would be home no more

it took some by suprise and other felt real bad

it didnt matter anymore

because you were our dad.

If only you would have known how much sorrow would be sown within those walls

of all those who loved you

and would have you no more

it was in that sorrow that we grew to be who we are

the worst thing came to be

when we could not even see you by car.

You would be gone forever

a few years after that day

We dont remember everything but we do remember the few greys

time has made us older

some of us forgot

the saddest part of it all

is we took it...
