The next morning, after breakfast at Aunt Janie’s, I brought out the whole stack of notebooks from my bedroom.  I had reservations about doing this, but I finally came to the decision really early that morning they had a right to know about Frances’ life that had been hidden from them.  I waited until they had gotten another cup of coffee and were sitting at the kitchen bar chatting.  I got their attention. 

     “These notebooks were in the storage locker yesterday.  They’re Aunt Frances’.  I read them into this morning.  There’s stuff in these I’m not so sure anyone knows about.”
