“We are celebrating tonight,” Daddy told our waiter.  He quickly perused through the wine menu.  “We’ll have a bottle of the Beringer Merlot.”

     “Very good, Sir,” the waiter told Daddy, and took the wine menu from him.  “I’ll be right back in a few moments with that, two glasses, and your dinner menu.”

     Daddy turned his eyes to me.

     “So, what movie are we going to see?”

     “Well, nothing scary, like ‘Halloween.’  I couldn’t handle that.  No scary movies.  I’d like to see the new ‘Grinch’ movie.  It came out a couple of days ago.”<...
