“Yeah.  Still the biggest outfit around.  There have been a few other construction outfits that have come around, but we usually outbid them.  They’ve come and gone, or they get the dinky jobs.  We’re in the process of building a new bank out on Highway 64.  A huge housing development is going in around the hospital, so they need a bank.  We’re bidding for the housing development, but the powers that be on that are still deciding on property lines and stuff.”

     “I hope they pick your company.”

     “Thank you.”

     We all ate for a few minutes in silence.  Finally, Daddy broke it.

     “How’s your mom and dad, Bill?”
