“Tell me about September eleventh from the beginning.”  I urged her.

     “I was in the middle of labor with Dani in NYU Downtown Hospital, now New York Downtown Hospital, when he got the call to come to the station.  I remember hearing loud bangs outside several times, but I didn’t think anything of it.  Daniel and I were rather busy with the labor.  They said there was a fire at the Twin Towers, The World Trade Center Towers, and they knew it was going to be more than just a one alarm fire.  They thought a commuter plane had steered off course and crashed into it.  They had no idea, then, what it was going to become later.  I kept on with my labor,...
