     “I’ll come get you in about a half hour for dinner,” Esther told me.

     “Fine,” I agreed.

     I think she could tell I was being short with her and a little temperamental.  Maybe she could read my mind.

     “I know you don’t believe who I say I am,” she started.  “I have some papers you can read tonight, after dinner, that might help.  And tomorrow’s expedition will help you understand.”
