We just ate grapes, and cheese, and drank our Presecco for quite a while.  Then, the silence became awkward and I spoke.

     “Did you watch your funeral?”

     “I did.  I was moved by all the flowers they threw and the hearse, and the outpouring of love the whole world showed when I died.  I almost decided to go back against the plan in those moments, but I knew I couldn’t go back.  Too many wheels had been set in motion.  I was especially moved to crying when Queen Elizabeth came out of the castle and bowed to my coffin as it passed by.”

     She wiped tears from her eyes and her voice sounded like sandpaper.

     “It hurt me so...
