“The whole world will know, she sighed defeatedly.

     “Not if I do a little work here and a little work there,” the doctor replied, pointing to certain places on his face.

     “There’s so many people involved in this and once the work is done and all, I’m committed to it, and I don’t want to mess this up and humiliate those who are giving up so much to do this.”

     He put a hand on her shoulder.

     “I get this.  I’m on your side.  I know what’s at stake here.  Not only you, but them, too.  It’s a very fine line you’ll walk, at least for awhile, but I think it’ll work, if you give me a chanc...
