For about five minutes there, I considered removing my eyeballs with a melon baller. I actually went into the kitchen and put the thing into my hand.

     What did I see that I wanted to forget?

     Men in diapers.

     Shame on me for exploring online dating.

     I will never unsee what I saw. I won’t remember the site for the beautiful people, nor will I remember the one for the wealthy men. I can pretend I never saw the one for the clowns. I can pretend I never saw the one for the farmers. The site for the ugly people disturbs me, yes, but never, never, never will I be able to wash away the images of men in diapers.

     “Horrific,” I said to my sister.
