Dad has never been a strong supporter of the performing arts at the grade school level. After my third grade production of The Night Before Christmas, he claimed that I was “the worst sleeping baby in the history of sleeping babies.”

     Tonight, we found ourselves at a junior high production of Seussical the Musical. AJ and some of his fourth grade classmates were participating, as special guests, in the Ensemble.

     Dad was not happy. Because of the play, he was missing Free Pancake Night at the church. He complained about this in the driveway, and right before we passed the church, as we passed the church, right after we passed the church, and several more times in the parking lot of the junior high.
