There was a pair of eyeglasses on my desk this morning when I arrived at work. They belonged to a woman and I asked J-- if he recognized the frames.
“No,” he said. “Are they prescription?”
I tried them on. “Yes, why?”
“I don’t know,” he said. “It seemed like the right question to ask.”
I shook my head. “I’ll bring them to the lost and found.”
“We have a lost and found?”
“I assumed so.” It occured to me that if there was a lost and found, I wouldn’t know where to find it.
