I took a moment to sit and think this morning. I wish I hadn’t.

     In the past couple of months I’ve ended a long-term relationship, got bypassed for a promotion, and had things stolen from my house by my best friend’s girlfriend’s sister.

     It’s a wonder that I continue to interact with people at all. The idea of hiking the Appalachian Trail is more appealing than ever, but I still get overwhelmed by the commitment. Maybe I’ll reconsider living in a tent on my parents’ property. I know Dad isn’t keen on the idea, but football and hockey seasons are revving up. It’ll be months before he even realizes I’m there.
