T-- left me a name, a hotel, and a time. No picture. No number. He never responded to my request for this information. The afternoon was spent wondering if I had wronged him in some way.

     It isn’t possible to accurately convey the hesitation I felt entering that hotel lobby last night. All I knew was that F-- was “interesting” and that T-- told her I was a pushover.

     Did he tell her I wear jeans to the beach?

     F-- must’ve had a picture of me because she greeted me when I walked through the door. She was prettier than I anticipated. My hopes were not high when T-- ignored my plea for a picture. My expectations, in general, were low for the evening, but one look at F-- and my mindset changed.
