I dialed up T-- after I got off the phone with my sister. I admitted to bugging her with my relationship problems.

     “Let me guess,” he said, “she wants you to make a list of pros and cons.”

     “No,” I said, “she wants me to buy one of those women's magazines and take a quiz.”

     He laughed. “That’s a dumb idea. Please tell me you’re not going to do that.”

     “Of course not,” I told him. “I’ll find a quiz on the internet.”

     “Much better,” he said. “I’ll come by with some beer.”
