Mom invited the family over for dinner last night. She said holidays shouldn’t be the only reason we get together. I think she felt bad about the Easter egg fiasco because she made a ham and a turkey.
It was a nice dinner and once AJ excused himself from the table, my sister turned the conversation to his schooling. “I’m thinking of sending him to a private school next year,” she said. “I don’t think a public school can handle his needs.”
“What are his needs?” my mother asked.
“He’s always behind,” my sister answered, “because the teachers can’t keep him focused.”
