E-- invited me to go grocery shopping today which was weird, but she’s weird so I didn’t think much of it because things really didn’t get weird until we got to the store.
We went straight for the potato chips. E-- opened a bag and started eating. “Don’t worry,” she said. “I’ll pay for it.”
The bag was empty before we reached the frozen foods. There were no stops between the chips and the ice cream.
“Sorry,” E-- told me. “I eat when I’m nervous.” She dropped four half-gallons of mint chocolate chip into the cart.
