This relationship is getting real. I thought we were on cruise control when E-- didn’t mention spending time together on Thanksgiving, but she wants me to meet her parents on Christmas.

     I figured I was too old to get nervous about this kind of stuff, but I’m not. I’m nervous.

     E-- and I are getting to a really good place. She stills orders my dinner when we’re out, but she phrases it like a question, so it appears like I have a choice. That’s nice. It does bother me, though, that she still won’t take off her socks in front of me. I’ve never seen her bare feet. “When you do,” she said, “you’ll know that I’m one-hundred percent committed to you.”
