into a lush green rain drop splattered world. In disbelief I gazed in wonder at the wild beauty of my surroundings including a Jasmine and vine covered gazebo in the center of it. It wasn’t so much the beauty of the landscape that took my breath away but the long past memory that it sparked within me.
I had told Nikki in the early days of being young lovers about the garden of my favorite Nan outside of London that had been a huge part of the beginning of my love affair with the outdoor canvas. I had spent many happy childhood days running through that garden stopping only to enjoy tea with my grandmother amidst her prize roses. As I ventured out further I could smell their nostalgic sweet smell in this yard before I could even see them.
