Marc went off in search of the doctor. She was in her office, shuffling some papers around on her desk. There were dark rings under her eyes and her lab coat had a battered-looking Seattle General logo stitched to the front. The Washington Army Military Hospital Seattle had commandeered every doctor they could get a hold of, and hadn’t yet gotten around to getting new uniforms.
“How did he take it?” she asked.
