He grinned. “I love helping people go home, especially if those people happen to be Winkies.”

It transpired that the Wizard had been flying to Palm Beach when his jet was struck by the tornado that blew him to Oz. Deciding that he missed his favorite well-done steak with ketchup that was unavailable in Oz, he ordered non-unionized Munchkin technicians to work seven days a week to repair the damaged jet. As soon as the jet was ready, it took Dorothy and Toto back to Kansas before dropping off the Wizard and his entourage in Washington.

Running towards the farmhouse, Dorothy saw her Aunt Em, who was watering cabbages outside. Aunt Em was overjoyed to see Dorothy. She hugged and kissed her beloved niece and asked her where she had been.

Dorothy smiled and said “In the Land of Oz!...
