CHANNILLO
Trazz III
By Malek Montag

Series Description:

"Society doesn't want you, doesn't need you. So, they've sent you here. To Edwin. To us. To this happy place where you can forget all your worries and cares. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Tracy III." Warden H. Garcia.

Edwin Prime is a beautiful planet, a time capsule for Triasic Period freaks and scientists. A plethora of herbivorous beasts roam the plains and mountain valleys feeding, migrating, breeding, and being eaten by vicious carnivorous predators. It's a green world untouched by the avarice of man. Simply because, in its current epoch, politicians have decided, on scientific advice, Edwin is too unstable for civilian colonisation. Instead, EarthGov funded a permanent research mission. Then dumped around 4,500 prisoners it never wants to see again on the planet.

Prison Colony Edwin Alpha houses killers, sociopaths, individuals who would drown their own mothers in a bath count how many bubbles seeped from her dying mouth. In Edwin Beta they stuck gangsters and terrorists and people who couldn't get into PC Alpha because there was no space. In Edwin Gamma, aka Trazz III, hard ball political dissidents rub shoulders with drug-dealers, smugglers, and total anarchists. This is where Noah-John Aime, doctor and philosopher and convicted drug smuggler, finds himself spending the next forty years of his life.

The PC Edwin archipelago is surrounded by a ring of fire. Ten active volcanoes circle The Pudding Bowl, an oval obsidian and granite valley ten miles deep with a fertile crust 500 feet above sea-level where the Inns share their world with the Goonies, a race of vertebrae twice the size of an average human.

The ring of fire and rock props up the Pudding, and keeps out the most fearsome predator on Edwin; the Raptoids: a lizard-like race, highly intelligent, social, carnivorous, cunning. All the beings on Edwin have one foe in common. Mount Placid. A mega-volcano. Active, but quiet except for a little steaming and belching hot mud. Yet, it’s a time-bomb just waiting to blow.

When she does, who will survive the end of this world? Who will triumph in the anarchy of ecological carnage?

Meanwhile, Noah-John Aime must survive Trazz III.
