Titus climbed to his feet. His bad leg was screaming in pain. He hobbled across the hall and started his preparations. When he was done, he added one final touch before hobbling backwards, away from the circle.

“I'll have to stay within range to keep feeding it power. Your weapon is enough sacrifice to halt that thing, but not enough to maintain it for long,” Titus said, pointing at Richard’s weapon. “You guys fall back, leave the weapon in that circle when you do.”
