replayed the entire day through his head. He paused when he got to the prophecy. He recited all three of the stanzas of the complete prophecy to himself aloud in its original language. 

He repeated the sixth line of the second verse again, and again and again. 

“I noted that you neglected to tell that Skriker witch the rest of the prophecy,” Shade interrupted. 

“Why would I tell her?” he asked. 

 He repeated the line one last time: ‘If the fated child does live…’” Titus let the phrase hang in the air as he contemplated it.
