“I love the way your family greets you when you get home,” Shade taunted the second Titus stepped through the front door.

“That's odd, shouldn’t you parents be here? I mean they seemed like, um, nice people,” Tess said, tripping over her words.

Shade burst into laughter. Titus had to chuckle a little at the comment, too.

“They're not my real parents,” he noted.
