“Mom, let's leave, I don't feel good.” She wasn't entirely lying this time. Her mom observed her disheveled appearance before touching her cheek and nodding.

“OK, hun, you don't look good.” She walked over and looked into the door from where Amy and Paul had initially emerged. “Just let me say goodbye before we go,”
