was busy climbing the steps up to the second floor. Amy followed behind her, answering questions, mostly with “I don't know.” Not that Tess blamed her, not many could stand up to her mother's questions. She looked out the door of the library; they wouldn't even notice her leaving.

Her body turned on its own and exited the room feeling the pressure on her body grow, then recede, resulting in her ears popping again.

She stumbled with vertigo. The only thing to grab was the doorframe. Tess was surprised when she caught it to find it covered with more intricate carvings.
