“Your journey ends here.”, a voice rang out. It was deep and clear as a bell, like that of something old and wise. Howard scoffed. “Whatever, monster of the week.” He drew his sword in a flash, and flourished it before him. The rest of the group followed suit, with the two demon-infused children well-protected in tight formation. “Let’s get this over with!”, Carla called, looking around for something to point her rifle at. A man in a simple black cloak stepped out of the shadows. His footfalls echoed a bit louder than they probably should have. A bit nervous, Howard’s hands tensed around the grip of his sword.
