There are somethings in life that I categorically, without a doubt, know. Buffy is awesome, for example. Coffee is the most important thing in life. I look good in green. These are things that I know, deep down in my soul, empirically. They are knowledge and they are the truth.

Now I also know that you never really know someone until you have a child with them. And you never really know yourself until you are forced into self-examination through the eyes of the perfect parent you hope to become, or the loving partner you were supposed to become.
