When newspapers first came out, some people were worried about the impact they would have on the sociability of our species. I’ve seen an old propaganda drawing, a picture of kids sitting together yet isolated, busily reading newspapers.

How ironic.

With all the technology available today, being social is completely optional at any given moment. Most parents would kill to have their kids actually sit down and read a newspaper, assuming they can read anything that doesn’t contain emoji’s. The modern anxiety is all about what’s on the internet, how the TV secretly brainwashes you and who not-so-tiny-monster is accidently calling on the phone she just got out of Benedicte’s handbag.
