It was Sunday morning, a week since Tom punched Pastor Dan Underwood in the nose before his entire congregation, and Tom was putting on his best tie while Tiffany changed dresses like politicians change their minds. She wanted to go to the church Tom went to last Sunday. He suggested a different church, but she insisted. He tried again, but she begged him, so he finally agreed. She was hard to resist when she batted her round eyes and her bottom lip pouted just so.
Tiffany barged into his room wearing a pink dress with green polka dots and shouted, “How ‘bout this one?”
