A Train Ride Home

The sweat dripped down the side of her face as she settled into her seat on the top level. She was squished between two strangers; it was the only seat available. She had rushed the two miles dodging regular commuters through the city. She made it with 5 minutes to spare, but the train was already crowded. As she eased into her seat, she looked through her notes from the last two days, a poetry workshop. So many ideas flowed along her creative juices, she didn’t know where to begin. What should she put to paper first? The new poetry format? The ideas she brainstormed on sounds? Many great ideas haunted her. The train lurched as she decided to write her “I Remember Poem”. It had been so nostalgic thinking about her childhood.
