The past few months had been a whirlwind.  Doctors’ appointments, surgeries, phone calls. Anger, fear, strength all wrapped up together.  During this ride, she was alone. She wiped away a single tear. Enough, she thought.  I won’t give in with anymore tears. The car was hot, but she didn’t mind the late June sun baking her.  She was a little comforted by it; it enveloped her like a much needed hug.
