He pulled up in the car just as her wheelchair was brought out to the curb.  There was a chilly drizzle in the air. She wouldn’t let that dampen her excitement for what was about to happen.  Although, to be honest, it was a very anxious excitement. She couldn’t wait for this next chapter to begin, but she was all at the same time terrified.  She had longed for this moment so long, years, since she was a little girl. The orderly helped out of the wheelchair; she was still tender and sore from her surgery.  Her husband took the car seat and affixed it into the back seat the way he had learned and practiced. Their little bundle of joy was silent as she was sleeping soundly.  Mom and dad glanced at each other as he pulled out of the emergency driveway at the hospital. Wer...
