Another ride home, but this time it was to her sister’s new home.  She and her sister had in recent years grown to be best friends. When they were younger, she followed her sister around admiringly.  Her sister hated it. During family get togethers when the cousins were over, the “big kids” wanted nothing to do with “the little kids”.  Her sister and the older cousins were so mean to the little kids. They would pretend to play hide and seek, but never come and find them. They desired their older kid independence. Even as a pre-teen, she was considered a little kid.  But she and her sister had moved passed that in their teenage years and now they were almost inseparable. That is until now.

The street lights lined up along the highway pretend...
