The Way of the Blade

   The Telling was over.  

   Novalla ran her hand along the warm wall slowly as she prepared a prayer in her mind.  She stopped because she was done.  Done with praying to the Great Father and all of his duties!  Where was he, she thought?  He could end it all with one wave of his hand, but no.  He left the task for us and the rest of humanity so we could suffer it and look where that left us?  In a dreaded city full of ghosts and unable to make a last stand, that’s where!
