Everything in the room began to bend and break, even the replicator.  Oates was pinned to the wall by the force of his power.

   “I don’t think so, Oates!  I want to live and I want to find Irith of Aran!”

   “Irith of Aran,” Oates asked?  He wasn’t scared of this Vice replicant.  He just lay pinned against the wall seeming to calculate something.  Vice released the energy and Oates landed on his feet.
