he muttered and followed her over the side.  He dove straight down with his arms at his side.  Just as he reached the ground, he twisted around to land on his feet.  Sand exploded into the air as he made contact.  He expected to die for sure but found himself standing in the middle of a crater.  Arith stood at the rim, watching him and clapping.

   “Come on,” she shouted.  It’s time to run!”  Now it was Irith that was smiling.   This was fun; he wished Kagyra was here training with him.  He climbed out of the hole and ran after Arith.  She was fast and he couldn’t catch her until she stopped a mile or so away.
