Jace was fast but Kagyra was faster. The only problem was being inside. The corners and the hallways slowed him down. Jace cackled ahead of him as they ran, teasing him and egging him on. It seemed like every time he was close enough to grab him, he’d disappear around a corner.
After a couple of minutes the halls grew darker and were lit with overhead lamps. The windows disappeared and became brick walls covered with tapestries. Kagyra could see Jace at the end of the hall standing still and realized he wouldn’t stop in time and tried to put on his brakes.
