CHANNILLO
When Waves Come Down
By Marie Ostendorf-LeClair

Series Description:

When a wave crashes, it is not soft or kind. In this series, I explore the nature of mental illness and trauma and their effects on a person's day-to-day life. Specifically, their ability to communicate, function, thrive. Each of us experiences pain in some form, and my exploration of these subjects is meant to give meaning and nurture that pain into healing. This series is meant to raise awareness and create empathy for less understood illnesses like bipolar, psychosis, and dissociation.

Category/Genre(s): Poetry
Updated: Every Other Week
