Chapter 13

Wednesday, May 5, 2010: Dawn

Again, I dreamed. This was a dream I’d had for many years as a warning of what was to come. But even as I dreamed, I knew there was something wrong. This event had already happened.

I was walking along a dark alleyway, faint light from nearby apartments providing just enough light for me to place my feet.

I look up at a sudden sound and draw back in alarm. In front of me stands a man, tall and imposing. Although I should be frightened, something about him is strong, safe and reassuring. Which is odd because he’s drinking the blood of someone, long fangs gleaming redly. I take a closer look at the face of the man he’s feeding from. I’m not surprised to see that it’s Stephen.
