I turned and made a slow circuit of the room. Everything looked right, and the energy balance in the room felt good. I was sure this would work. I stepped into the circle and motioned to Paul. “Okay, let’s get started.”

In a moment, he stood beside me. Sometimes he moved like a human, and then other times he moved too fast, reminding me of his true nature.

“Do we do this standing or sitting?”

I dropped down in a half-Lotus position. “Sitting. We’ll be more comfortable if this takes a while.”
