Sunday, May 2, 2010. Too Damn Early

We got to his house, a beautiful row house in the Mt. Vernon Square area. For those of you who don’t live here, that’s actually a part of the District and is nowhere near the home of George Washington. It’s a heavily gay area, and I’ve always wondered why Paul lived here, but I figured he wanted to be where people are more accepting of differences.

His house is cream-colored and with an almost turret at the top. The window surrounds are ornate and sort of gothic. The first time I saw it, I believed it was the sort of place an urban vampire would like. Much nicer than the semi-mansion we’d just come from.

Paul let us in, and asked, “Want something to drink?”
