overweight for her 5’6” frame, but wore it well. Her long hair, pulled back into a casual ponytail, was still the same dark brown I remembered, with just a hint of gray at the temples. Nope, she didn’t dye it. She’s just lucky to be graying late. Her skin was still smooth, and she looked at least a decade younger than she really is, which is good since she sells Mary Kay. My mom is a walking advertisement for her own product.

As usual for around the house, she was wearing blue jeans and a t–shirt. Mom never dresses up unless she has to. She does the whole skirt thing when she’s working, but the rest of the time, it’s pants (usually jeans) all the way. Yeah, it’s kind of a weird choice for a successful Mary Kay Director, but it works for her.
