The rest of the afternoon went quickly. Caitlyn talked to McDonald while we drove to the second building, and he was willing to give us whatever we needed. When we got to the second building, I was able to calculate the aura decay on it, and we were in luck. It was going to be another three days before it was coming down. That gave us a bit of breathing room.

We stopped by Caitlyn’s apartment on our way back to Paul’s house. She packed a bag with what she’d need for the next few days. Luckily, Morvyth wasn’t there, although I had done a thorough search of the outside of her apartment before we went in. I hadn’t seen any reason to take chances, now that we were close to wrapping up this case.
