September 20, 2011. Late Evening

On our way out of the building, Paul reminded me to text the circle image to Caitlyn. I paused and did that quickly before we walked to his car. Luckily, it was still where I had left it. The way our luck had been going this evening, I wouldn’t have been surprised if it had been towed. Not that I was parked illegally; it was just turning out to be that kind of day.

I glanced at my partner. "Want me to drive?"

It was a testament to his injuries that he nodded and handed me back the keys I had given him earlier. "You'll have to drive back, though," I said. "I'm going to need to concentrate on remembering the aura well enough to do the finding."

"I think I can handle that if you drive there."
