"What were you doing there?" Paul asked.

Tim looked up and gave us suspicious looks. "What's that to you? I like the atmosphere, okay?"

Paul held his hands out in a placating gesture, and I felt the surge of energy from him again. "Nothing, really. It's just a long way from here and didn't exactly seem like your kind of place."

While Paul spoke to Tim, I shifted my sight and examined the young man's aura. Plenty of orange, and it had the same look and feel as what I'd sensed at the murder scene. However, that wasn't all. I looked deeper and confirmed my suspicion. Tim was also under the influence of another vampire. There were faint traces of Paul's influence in the aura, fading quickly, but there was another influence there, deepe...
