Chapter 6

September 17, 2011. Late afternoon

Paul doesn't let me drive very often. Now, before you get the wrong idea, it's not because he's the controlling kind of boyfriend. He just really loves his car and doesn't want to give it up if he doesn't have to.

A Toyota Prius isn't my first idea of a cool car to drive. I lean more toward a BMW or Porsche, but his car does handle pretty well, and, hey, it's super fuel efficient. As a warlock who draws on the power of nature, I should be all behind that, but given half a chance, I'd still drive a gas guzzling sports car.

I turned on the radio and found a news station. Naturally a second collapsing building in two days was the story they were covering. Unfortunately, it didn't sound as if they knew an...
