practice White magic. As for warlocks? Well, there are some pretty nasty demons and other beings which live on other realms. Calling up the wrong ones can have dire consequences.

Caitlyn blinked at my words. "You mean like demon summoning?"

I nodded. "I mean exactly that. Not just demons, though. Elementals are usually benign, and summoning them is considered White magic, as long as the summoner doesn't use mind influencing magic to compel them. Your spontaneous fire starting could be an indication that you have some ability with elemental summoning."

A thought struck me, and I paused. "Sorry, I'm not doing this in any kind of sane order. Do you know about Black vs. White magic?"

She shrugged. "I guess. White magic is good and Black magic is evil?"
