September 16, 2011. Early evening

I reached into my pocket for my phone, shooting Caitlyn a quick look which I hoped communicated that I needed to take this and that she shouldn't leave.

I needn't have worried. The anxious look on her face had been replaced by amusement. "A Thousand Years? Really? I was asking to be taught by a Christina Perri fan?"

Damn. So much for my cool Yoda/guru impression.

As I fumbled my phone out of my pocket, I said, "One of my friends has an odd sense of humor."

Which was true. However, it wasn't why I used the song for Paul's ringtone. Sue me. I have a sappy side.
